    Colosseum by Night

I had never been to Rome before. And not until I got there did I know what I had been missing. What a place! No city can be compared to it,   culturally, historically, religiously or artistically. This  means that you need at least a whole week to be able see everything. I didn’t have that, since most of my time there was spent at a conference – a very good one, by the way – but I was pleased to catch a few moments here and there to run into the city (and I was literally runn

    January 2009 Overview

I have done a little of everything this month. But my main concern has been to complete the framework of the MOTIVATION page. I have now finally gone through every single blog post and catagorised them. The page is not quite finished but if you click on it I think you will get the general idea. COLUMNS Opportunity is the Blessing (2) It’s the chances we get each day – the opportunities – that are the greatest of blessings. Things I learned on a Black Piste Overcoming fear. Fi

    A New Day

The other week we went skiing. But during our preparations to leave the first morning, my wife asks me: “Did you see the colors outside?” I look out the window and see this marvelous sunrise. I don’t waste a second, since we’re in such a rush anyway, and I jump in the car and drive two minutes to this spot. It’s a place we often come to when fishing or skipping rocks etc. In a record time of an additional two minutes, I run around (even taking some risks on the ice… but it wa

    Let Your Light Shine

Last full moon I went out for an evening walk. I knew there was a moon out there, bright and sparkling. The only problem was that it was concealed by dark clouds. But then it happened. The clouds dispersed for a second or two. I quickly positioned my camera and took this shot. Then the moon was hidden again. That it got dark again didn’t bother me all that much. The reason wasn’t that I now had my photo (I would have liked to take more shots), but it just felt good to have ex

    December 2008 Overview

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! Another month has gone by, and with it another year. I hope it’s been a good one for all of you, and that you can take the accumulated positive energy with you into 2009, and make this your best year ever! For those who missed it, here’s our Family Christmas Card 2008. ARTICLE For the first time I was interview by a magazine (net version), not because of my singing, nor activity in the LDS Church, but because of my photographs. Here is Kamera&Bild’

Family Column for Länstidningen, Södertälje, Sweden, 22 Oct 2008.

    Isak 8 Years Old

Isak, our middle child, turned eight this week. He has greatly anticipated his birthday, much due to the fact that he was going to be baptized (more on that tomorrow), but also because it’s simply fun to have a birthday! You get presents! And people give you lots of attention. Like below, for example, Johannes is singing to Isak: “Happy birthday to you! You belong in a Zoo. You look like a monkey, and you smell like one too!” Funny thing… but in this next shot there is a cert

    Life’s Adventures

I’m sitting here past midnight trying to catch up on some work. Tomorrow morning Angelica will be back home. I can’t wait… for no other reason than I’ve missed her so. But there are more of us men and fathers who have missed their spouses. I was just looking at Carl Johan’s blog. He’s married to Matilda, one of Angelica’s travel partners. He also did the solo-father week. They have a wonderful family blog with beautiful photos, and some other neat stuff. Check it out. #Family

Column for Länstidningen, Södertälje, Sweden, 10 Sept 2008.

    August 2008 Overview

August is back-to-work-month. And there’s been a lot of that! I’ve been swamped in extra work, trying to get ready for the school start, thus leaving little time for blogging. And the Wednesday Family Columns are also stealing some of that extra time from blogging – but I post those texts here, anyway, for those interested in reading. COLUMNS A Ten-year-old Environmental Activist – How my son goes green. A Day at Kolmården – Funny stuff from Sweden’s best animal park. Wonder

    July 2008 Overview

July has been a rather quiet month. I’ve noticed that there has been little action on the blogosphere. Less people are reading, and less are writing. No wonder, it’s vacation time! I also have had little time – and energy, to be honest, to write daily. I’m happy to have done something weekly. COLUMNS The main blogs posts this month have been copies of the Columns I have started to write för Länstidningen (LT), our county newspaper. The editors have asked me to write about an

    The Deer Haven

We have not had good summer weather in Sweden this year. So I tried to catch a warm, summer spirit by looking at some photos from when it was really nice and hot. I found these ones. They are actually from the end of May – so far the nicest part of the whole “summer”. One Saturday we took a walk in a huge park, kind of like a nature reserve, called Hjorthagen (The Deer Haven). It’s in Mariefred, close to where we live. A beautiful place. Have you thought about how clouds ofte

    June 2008 Overview

ARTICLES ABOUT FAMILY The start of June was a continuation of the end of May, brought about by my debate article Våga stå upp för familjen (Take a Stand for the Family). There were come counter articles by others, with more replies from me as a result. It’s all summarized in Take a Stand for the Family (3): Summary. NEW PAGE: WRITINGS The other thing I spent some time on was to create WRITINGS, a new page that contain my different publications. It’s not a big stack of texts
