    Tacksam

Tre konserter i Globen. Biljetterna tog slut på tre minuter. Typ.

Lucia, Idol, R-words, and the Homeless

    A Great Week

Journey: Why can’t this night go on forever

A beautiful song with a sound similar to that of Faithfully. A song that you want to listen to over and over again. #Journey #Music #rock

    Journey: Never Walk Away

Never Walk Away is one of Journey’s newest songs, from the recent Revelation CD. It’s a feel-good song that grows on you the more you listen to it. It has become my favorite driving-in-my-car-songs. Clara loves it too. Mostly I appreciate how the phrase “Never Walk Away” has caught the attention of my senses. The song is about sticking with the one you have given your heart and promise to: “Love’s a promise that he made. In his heart it still remains Don’t give up. Never Wal

    Michael Jackson

Automatic translation of text ETT SAMTAL OM MICHAEL JACKSON Isak sitter klistrad framför Youtube och har just tittat på Michael Jacksons Smooth Criminal för femtioelfte gången. ”Pappa?” ”Mmm…” ”Jo, men du måste välja!”

    Journey: Send Her My Love

The melodic wonders of Journey continues, this time with Send Her My Love. When I was traveling this week because of work I thought about this song; since I couldn’t be near my wife I wanted to send her something instead: my love. This is a beautiful song. #Journey #Music #rock #steveperry

    Journey: After All These Years

This is a new song by Journey. The first time I heard it I was touched in several ways. First I was glad to see that old Journey magic come alive in this beautiful tune (another masterpiece by Jonathan Cain). But I was also struck – I mean literally – by the words (see below), seeing how they fit so well with my situation and the feelings I have for my wife. When watching this first video it didn’t take many seconds before the tears started to roll. Tomorrow is Angelica’s bir

    Journey: Faithfully

There’s going to be a whole lot of music coming up on this site now, music that have been an inspiration to me in one way or another. First out is the greatest rock ballard ever made, by the greatest rock band that ever existed: Journey. Listen to the beautiful lyrics of this song, performed by Steve Perry – whose vocal skill is simply amazing. My deepest respect goes out to keyboardist Jonathan Cain who wrote this song. It is a story about living on the road, but missing you

    August 2008 Overview

August is back-to-work-month. And there’s been a lot of that! I’ve been swamped in extra work, trying to get ready for the school start, thus leaving little time for blogging. And the Wednesday Family Columns are also stealing some of that extra time from blogging – but I post those texts here, anyway, for those interested in reading. COLUMNS A Ten-year-old Environmental Activist – How my son goes green. A Day at Kolmården – Funny stuff from Sweden’s best animal park. Wonder

    Kind words by Liza Marklund

iza Marklund is one of Sweden’s most talented and successful writers. But not only does she produce top selling novels, she also is an active columnist for Expressen, one of our largest newspapers. Last week Liza wrote an interesting column, one which shed some positive light on the Herrey’s. I thought it was amusing, but more than that, a very kind approach to our music. Thanks, Liza! We’re not exactly spoiled, as you know, with such respectful words. Bort med juryn ur Melod

Rockstars, Bishops, and One Stubborn Ant

Below is my own favorite images from Photos – Södertälje Party (2). It’s the lead singer from Nordman, Håkan Hemlin. The “moment” is caught, I think, that represent this performer the best (as I see him, anyway). I had a nice chat with Håkan after the show, in which he told me that he had just bought a new camera, an Canon 400D, and that he was having a lot of fun with it. But he explained that he feels stupid sometimes, because he take pictures of everything he sees. Said he

Here are all of the artist’s photos, in slide shows, from the Södertälje party. I didn’t always get the best position for these shots, so I’m not pleased with all of them, but hopefully there are some in here you like. If you wonder, by the way, these are all nice people. I wish them all the best, especially Charlotte who will compete for Sweden soon in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Photos of E-type

E-type in Vemdalen, Sweden I have met Martin several times and consider him a friend. When he saw me after the concert, he came over and gave me a bear hug. It was good to see him again. It struck me, however, how different we are; I am a religious educator, and he’s a rock artist in a truest sense of the word…. although a very sympathetic, compassionate rock artist. He’s got a good heart. And he cares for his fans, constantly showing them gratitude, whether on or off stage.

    All These Artists

It took some time but I finally got around to completing the sets of photos I took at the Christmas Concert in Karlstad where I performed together with my brothers, and with all these artists seen below. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you, to have 3-4 different parts in the show, and then in between try to capture the rest of the crew on film. But I hope there are a few photos in here, at least, that you will enjoy. If you want to see some of my personal favorites from the show,
